Camila Ligabue

Camila Ligabue is a contemporary jeweler based between São Paulo and Brasília. With a
degree in Visual Arts from UnB, Brasília University, she has dedicated herself to jewelry
making since 2017. Engaging later in online jewelry study groups, she had the opportunity
to dialogue with different Latin American jewelers.
From a poetic and political perspective, her work delves into the geometry of objects, to
decipher them and explores a curious regard about the shining nature of materials. She

combines both traditional metals and alternative materials such as metallic-imitating plas-
tics and winging materials.

Her work has been showed by different platforms around the world such as the III Bienal

Latino-americana de Joyería Contemporánea in Argentina, NYC Jewelry Week at Pratt Insti-
tute, Stockholm Craft Week and The Brazilian Object Museum in São Paulo. In 2021, recei-
ved first place in the FIO Contemporary Jewelry Award, national student category, at Alice

Floriano Gallery.
