"Humans have to adapt to new situations and new living patterns. Being constrained to my home and to my small garden over the pandemic I have observed the Spanish slugs take over my lawn. An invasive species rapidly spreading and all I can do is watch, adapt and accept. Can I change my perception of these disgusting little creatures? Most snails and slugs are hermaphrodites and some even carry their own houses on their backs. There is a power in being that independent and flexible. I have made slug-amulets into a materialised reminder of the fact that we are part of an everchanging world. We can and have to accept new ways of living.
